FIFA released the World Cup schedule on Saturday that will feature 104 matches spread across 11 cities in the United States, with three in Mexico and two in Canada.
Co-host nation Mexico is the highest-ranked team in its group, but only by seven spots, as South Korea is ranked 22nd in the world by FIFA. That gap could get even smaller if Denmark, the 21st-ranked team in the world, wins its playoff matches and rounds out Group A.
Brazil was drawn in Group C — which will play two of its matches in Boston. France is in Group I, which also plays two matches in Boston.
The 2026 World Cup will feature 13 different kick-off times, with almost half the group stage matches taking place after 00:00 BST.
The United States will face Australia, Paraguay and a European playoff winner in group stage play when the tournament opens next summer.
The groups for the 2026 World Cup have been announced. Here's where team USA is placed and their opponents for next summer.
