Their Mission Statement: The Whitney Institute educates the public about the history and legacies of slavery in the United States. It was an honor to be invited out by the Whitney Plantation Museum to do a private tour of the plantation. This trip was to learn about the mission of the Whitney Plantation. That mission is one of education and the affects of the trans Atlantic and the continental slave trade. T
