The B.C. Government led the signing of a new Canadian Mutual Recognition Agreement, which breaks down interprovincial trade barriers to make it more accessible for Canadian and B.C. businesses to sell their goods across the country. Until now cross-Canada trade regulations imposed the equivalent of a 6.9% tariff on goods crossing provincial/territorial borders. While GVBOT applauds the province on this agreement, we must encourage this momentum towards more domestic integration and opportunity.
